Abstract

The paper considers issues of formalized description of digital device construction based on the use of logical functions. Optimization of hardware implementation of digital devices is associated with processes of simplification (minimization) of the structure of these functions. A basic approach to the development of modern computing systems is considered, where the priority is to reduce the number of logical elements without losing functionality. The research has made it possible to identify criteria (number of variables, clarity, complexity, input data restrictions) that can be used to reasonably select a method for the effective formation of the minimum structure of a logical function
