Features of 3D scanning of objects with complex geometry and different surface structure are revealed. The original objects for the experiments were classified by the presence or absence of the internal structure, as well as by the nature of the surface. Object photos were taken with a 12MP smartphone camera. The number of shooting angles when scanning a single subject varied from 35 to 105. Agisoft Photoscan was used to process the resulting photos. Conclusions about the features and limitations of photographic 3D scanning systems are made.
