Ornament is a versatile art form whose history dates back to prehistoric times and continues to this day. In ancient times, it was impossible to imagine a book without ornamentation, but even today, ornamentation has not lost its relevance; on the contrary, interest in it is growing steadily. Every ornament consists of individual, usually repeating motifs. One of the most important requirements for book ornamentation is that the ornamental motifs and composition be connected to the publication’s content and purpose.
