Abstract

This article explores the critical role of investment risk assessment in ensuring the economic security of enterprises. It highlights the growing importance of identifying and managing risks due to unpredictable changes in economic, political, and social environments. The study outlines key types of investment risks, including financial, credit, liquidity, operational, political, social, and environmental risks. It also examines both quantitative and qualitative methods used to evaluate these risks, such as sensitivity analysis, scenario planning, Monte Carlo simulations, expert evaluations, and SWOT analysis. Additionally, the article emphasizes the use of financial indicators like NPV, PI, and Payback Period for investment decision-making. Effective risk management is presented as essential for sustainable development and long-term business stability.
