Abstract

In computer graphics, 3D modeling is the process of developing a mathematical representation of any three-dimensional surface of an object using specialized software. The simulation product is a 3D model. It can be represented as program code or displayed in a viewport as a 3D model, as well as a two-dimensional image created by a rendering process. 3D models can be created manually or automatically, including using a 3D scanner. Making models by hand is similar to creating a sculpture in the plastic arts.
