Особенности представления музыки в формате MIDI

Abstract

This report is devoted to explaining how transfer a music through a multimedia system in economical way. The main attention is paid to the peculiarities of representing music in the form of its musical notation, namely the score, in binary codes. This representation allows significantly reduce the information volume for recording music or its transmission in comparison with pulse-code modulation. Additional compression methods are also considered due to more efficient use of service commands. The quality of music playback is analyzed for several codecs of the MIDI format.
