Abstract

This work analyzes the features of modern applications that assist diabetics in tracking carbohydrate intake based on food photos. As accurate carbohydrate estimation is crucial for managing blood sugar levels, AI-driven apps have emerged as valuable tools. The study examines applications like Carb Manager and BiteSnap, comparing their functionality, usability, and limitations. While these apps provide convenient ways to log meals, they often lack precise food recognition and are not specifically tailored for diabetes management. This analysis highlights the strengths and weaknesses of current solutions, offering insights into how future applications can better support diabetic users.
