Abstract

The paper analyzes the role of digital technologies in contemporary music production. The main stages of the digital production workflow are considered, including recording, editing, mixing and mastering. Particular attention is paid to digital audio workstations (DAW), virtual instruments and software audio processors used for sound synthesis and signal processing. The study also briefly considers the role of sound design techniques and digital synthesis methods in modern music production. The influence of digital distribution platforms and streaming services on the structure of the modern music industry is also discussed. The analysis shows that digital tools significantly increase the flexibility and efficiency of audio production processes while enabling new forms of music distribution and interaction with audiences.
