Abstract

The publication is devoted to the analysis of visual programming as an artistic approach to working with digital media. The main principles of visual programming languages and their advantages compared to text languages in the context of artistic and design disciplines are considered. The node-based logic of building systems is described in detail: the concepts of a node, data flow, modularity and scalability. The specifics of algorithmic thinking in art are analyzed – building logic instead of a linear timeline, working with parameters and randomness
