Abstract

It is shown that one of the rather simple and universal criteria for evaluating EMC is the protective ratio. Its disadvantages are that it does not take into account the degree of damage caused by interference with a particular frequency-time and statistical structure. A more accurate criterion is the convolution of the signal and interference spectra, which can be obtained if the analytical dependence of the power spectral density level on the frequency for the signal, interference, and noise is known. In practice, this relationship is often unknown.
