Abstract

The relevance of person perception research in psychology is driven by the increasing complexity of social interaction, including digital environments. This study considers person perception as an active cognitive process of interpreting social information. The purpose is to analyze the cognitive mechanisms, schemas, and biases that shape how we understand others. The methodological basis includes a theoretical analysis of established psychological models and empirical findings. The results indicate that person perception is a selective process heavily influenced by prior experience, attention, and emotional signal recognition.
