Soft skills як невидимі компетентності: чому їх складно виміряти, але неможливо ігнорувати

Abstract

This work is devoted to the theoretical analysis of soft skills as an integral component of modern educational and professional competence. The study examines the essence, structure and historical development of the concept of soft skills in the context of social intelligence and competency education. Particular attention is paid to the implicit (“invisible”) nature of soft skills, their role in everyday communication and professional interaction, as well as the difficulties of their formalization and objective assessment. The article analyzes the relationship between soft skills, the hidden curriculum and the educational environment, and outlines key approaches to their development using interactive, practice-oriented teaching methods. The problem of conditional assessment of soft skills using behavioral indicators and contextual diagnostics is also considered. The importance of soft skills in ensuring adaptability, effective teamwork, and lifelong learning in modern education is substantiated, and promising areas for further research and implementation of these competencies in the educational process are identified.
