Abstract

Nowadays, we can see a real explosion of the spread of ideas of a healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition. This is the reason for the influx of mobile applications for counting calories in the Apple Store and Google Play. The main problem faced by people who want to improve their diet and start monitoring their daily diet is the cost of time and the hassle of adding food to calorie counting services. To solve this problem, the developers began to study the idea of integrating the leading technologies of computer vision, namely – the recognition and classification of objects (in our case – culinary dishes) by image.
