Анотація
The given work is devoted to research of database partitioning methods as a method of horizontal scaling of the systems. The main target of the research is comparing methods of data partitioning for MS SQL Server and CosmosDB. In this work, it was proposed the different data partitioning strategies available in MS SQL and CosmosDB. Research queries were developed and metrics were selected to evaluate their performance. During the experiments, query execution performance was investigated for the proposed slicing schemes for MS SQL and CosmosDB with different workload characteristics.
