Abstract

The study examines the integration of digital enhancements into the structure of modern board games. It analyzes the use of augmented and mixed reality technologies, mobile applications, and QR codes to enhance and enrich the overall gaming experience. The advantages of such solutions are identified, in particular, increased player engagement, automation of game processes, and the possibility of adaptive learning support through scaffolding mechanisms. The potential for using digitally augmented board games in an educational environment and learning activities is also demonstrated.
