Abstract

Current evaluation methods in analyzing Mixed Martial Arts tournament results often favor teams with large numbers of participants, overlooking the qualitative aspects of their victories. This study describes the Weighted Team Efficiency Index that incorporates the specific method of victory (early finish, unanimous, or split decision) into the performance assessment. Additionally, the research uses descriptive statistics to analyze bout durations and finish types across different weight classes. By applying these quantitative models, the focus shifts from mere participation to actual technical skill, providing the national federation with a solid, data-driven framework for fair evaluation and strategic tournament planning.
