Abstract

In problems of numerical analysis and applied modeling, the reconstruction of a function from discretely specified data is an important problem. One of the classical approaches to solving this problem is the construction of global polynomials that pass through given nodes, lines, or strips. However, as the number of nodes and the degree of the interpolating polynomial increase, such interpolation may lose numerical stability and exhibit significant oscillations, in particular due to the Runge phenomenon. The purpose of this work is to analyze the construction of splines for interstrip interpolation operators, taking into account the specific features of function data specified on strips
