Abstract

This article examines the use of gaming simulators for professional driver training. It focuses on the role of racing simulators and VR technologies in developing driving skills, reaction speed, and decision-making abilities. Modern simulators such as iRacing, rFactor 2, and Project CARS 2 provide realistic driving experiences, diverse tracks, and adjustable vehicle settings. The study also highlights the potential of VR headsets to enhance immersion and training effectiveness. Online racing and esports are shown as motivational tools for skill development. Although virtual training improves certain driving competencies, the transfer to real-world driving remains partially uncertain. The findings suggest that simulators can complement traditional driver education and have significant professional potential.
