Abstract

This paper analyzes the principles of edge computing and its role in modern distributed software systems. Edge computing is a paradigm that brings data processing closer to the source of data generation. This approach helps reduce the need for constant communication with centralized cloud servers. As a result, network latency is significantly decreased. In addition, edge computing optimizes the use of cloud resources. The advantages of edge computing compared to traditional centralized cloud architectures are discussed in detail. The study further explores the impact of this approach on system efficiency and scalability. Finally, it highlights promising areas for the development of this technology in the field of software system development.
