Abstract

This thesis tells about the rich history of Ukrainian spelling. The author highlights the main historical stages during which changes were made and describes the main episodes of the formation of Ukrainian writing, spelling rules, punctuation, alphabet and graphics. It is also necessary to note the huge influence of Ukrainian writers and their works on the development of speech and spelling. Therefore, the main purpose of this work is to show how important writing is for the Ukrainian nation and what innovations new generations have brought to the development of the Ukrainian language.
