Abstract

The purpose of the work is to study the possibilities of software expansion of the characteristics of digital cameras and video cameras, to improve their technical characteristics and increase the efficiency of their use, as well as to verify this method in practice. The image after the firmware has a wider dynamic range and a smoother transition of colors and highlights. Having shot a video with insufficient exposure, we can also see that the image obtained on the cam era with the firmware has a really wider dynamic range – a smoother transition from dark to light parts of the image, details in the shadows are better visible.
