Abstract

The problem of research is caused by the heterogeneity of artifacts, differences in their syntax, semantics, and level of detail, and by the non equivalence of requirements, architecture, design, and implementation representations. The concept of an information technology for managing a registry of information system artifacts throughout the system life cycle is proposed. A three-registry environment is proposed, including a domain data and knowledge registry, an information system artifact registry, and a registry of implementation variants. The artifact registry is defined as the central component that provides registration, structured storage, versioning, traceability, integrity control, change support, and analytical processing.
