Abstract

The abstract examines the issue of the ineffectiveness of corporate risk management methods in the context of complex student IT design. Unique risks of the educational environment are identified and classified, in particular the phenomena of “free riding” and the competence gap. A risk management model has been developed to optimize management processes. It has been proven that the use of version control metrics and pair programming allows student teams to avoid the “black box” effect, move to proactive project management, and develop engineering competencies that are in demand in the IT industry.
