Edge computing emerges as a game-changer, processing data at the network's edge for faster insights and reduced latency. This article explores the transformative potential of edge computing in smart city development, analyzing its applications, challenges, and future directions. By addressing these challenges and fostering innovation, edge computing can become the engine powering smarter, more efficient, and resilient cities of tomorrow.
