Abstract

This work addresses driver drowsiness as one of the main causes of road accidents. A low-cost driver fatigue monitoring system is proposed, which can be installed in any car. The system collects data on the driver’s pulse and brain activity, processes it, and detects signs of falling asleep. In case of danger, sound and light alarms are activated, and a notification can also be sent to concerned people. The developed unit has a convenient headset-shaped design so that it does not distract the driver. The work is aimed at improving road safety and reducing the number of accidents.
