Digital art in restoration and conservation processes of cultural heritage: a state-of-the-art inquiry

Abstract

This paper presents a state-of-the-art inquiry into the use and impact of digital art elements in processes of rescue, restoration, and preservation of cultural heritage. This inquiry reveals a disciplinary dissociation among fields that, due to their nature, could be compatible, opening significant opportunities for digital art professionals to engage in interdisciplinary work aimed at safeguarding cultural memory.
