Abstract

Due to the diversity and complexity of real transmission systems, developing universal methods for analysing and designing information distribution systems is a difficult task. A comprehensive approach to improving the quality of information services requires the use of accurate mathematical methods to analyse information distribution systems and assess the quality of traffic service in real conditions. Packet transmission technologies lead to increased traffic unevenness, so more complex models are needed that take into account the fractal or self similar properties of traffic.
