Abstract

This paper discusses the principles and applications of frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar for the detection of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It describes the operating principle of FMCW radar systems, including frequency modulation of the transmitted signal, generation of beat frequency, and the estimation of target range and velocity using range-Doppler signal processing. The paper highlights the advantages of FMCW radars, such as high range resolution, low power consumption, and the ability to detect slow and small targets.
