Abstract

This publication examines the specifics of white balance correction at the post-production stage in cases where a white background is affected by three different white light sources from various directions. The study focuses on practical methods for eliminating local color casts caused by differences in color temperature and lighting distribution. Particular attention is given to the use of masks for selective correction of separate color-contaminated areas, as well as to the analysis of frame sharpness and bokeh for identifying visually significant zones. It is also shown that when a white background occupies a large part of the frame, tracking a single mask over the background and reducing saturation can effectively restore its neutral appearance. The proposed approaches improve color accuracy and simplify the workflow of video post-processing
