Abstract

This study proposes a local service for integrating radiological studies into the Electronic Medical Record of a healthcare institution. The approach is based on automated reception of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine files, metadata extraction, structured local storage, and linking studies to a patient record. Unlike isolated file storage, the proposed solution enables radiological data to be treated as part of the patient’s clinical history. The approach reduces data fragmentation and supports centralized access to diagnostic information within a single medical institution.
