Abstract

Migration of information systems to the cloud is not limited to the technical transfer of software and data. At the pre-migration stage, formal representation of business requirements and constraints is needed because existing approaches often address migration phases, costs, workload analysis, or deployment options, while business requirements remain fragmented and weakly connected to system architecture. The proposed approach distinguishes target requirements and limiting constraints, links them to configuration items, and relates them to target cloud services. This reduces ambiguity in planning and supports more consistent migration scenarios under technical, organizational, and regulatory restrictions.
