Українська економічна думка ХІХ століття

Abstract

In the work, the views of prominent Ukrainian economists of the 19th century are examined. Their influence on the development of domestic and world science is investigated. It is shown that despite the difficult conditions of statelessness, Ukrainian economic thought of the 19th century developed in line with pan-European trends and formed distinctive scientific schools, in particular the Kyiv economic school. The key ideas of Vasyl Karazin, Ivan Vernadsky, Mykola Bunge, Mykola Drahomanov, Ivan Franko, Mykhailo Tugan-Baranovsky and Volodymyr Vernadsky are characterized.
