dc.description.abstract	In the digital age, it is essential for stakeholders to comprehend societal reactions to news events. This paper investigates the use of web scraping techniques and sentiment analysis to examine the emotional responses conveyed in user comments. By automating data collection from online platforms and utilizing natural language processing algorithms, this thesis aims to analyze the nuanced emotional tones expressed in user-generated content. The engineering approach involves overcoming technical challenges, such as navigating through dynamic web pages and addressing ethical concerns regarding data privacy.
