Abstract

The principles of operation and classification of digital cameras (electrooptical systems) used for monitoring and detecting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are considered. The features of visual, infrared and ultraviolet radiation spectra, as well as the specifics of their interaction with observation objects, are analysed. Particular attention is paid to multispectral and combined systems that increase the effectiveness of UAV identification under various lighting and weather conditions. Key factors affecting detection range, such as resolution, optical magnification and thermal characteristics of the target, are identified
