Abstract

The boundary detector algorithm is not limited to calculating the gradient of a smoothed image. Only the maximum gradient points of the image are left in the border; the remaining points near the border are deleted. It also uses information about the direction of the border in order to remove points near the border and not to break the border itself near the local maxima of the gradient. On the one hand, the inclusion of noise cancellation in the Kenny algorithm increases the stability of the results, and on the other, increases computational costs and leads to distortion and even loss of details of the boundaries
