Abstract

The paper proposes a method for reusing frequency channels to increase the efficiency of radio frequency resource use and applies a method of multiple overlapping of base station beam patterns to increase network capacity and performance. The calculation formulas obtained as a result of the research allow estimating the gain and subscriber capacity of mobile communication systems when using the algorithm for selecting the least loaded BS in the overlap zone. Computations and simulation modeling have shown that in the 5G system, when using the selection algorithm, the gain in subscriber capacity can reach 15%.
