Abstract

The given work is devoted to the analysis of the “Information Culture” concept, determining the functions of information culture in the formation of the personality and society, the criteria of the person’s information culture, the problems associated with the rapid development of information systems and technologies. Information culture is a part of the general human culture, it is a condition of its development and being in the information society. The concept of “Information Culture” is associated with the spiritual culture of the individual. Today information culture is one of the factors that contributes to social progress and has a positive impact on the process of human life in the information society.
