Abstract

The paper examines principles and tools for overcoming cognitive biases in the information systems design process. The study is theoretical and analytical in nature, employing an interdisciplinary approach. Four key principles for overcoming cognitive biases are formulated: cognitive transparency, multi-perspectivity, iterative review, and integration of automated decision support. The study categorizes tools for implementing these principles into three groups: analytical, diagnostic, and simulation tools.
