Abstract

The process of degradation of the performance of photoelectric modules is a significant deterioration in the properties of the module in time, a reduction in efficiency to 95%, is most undesirable for any solar batteries. Processes of Po-tential induced degradation (PID) can be either irreversible or potentially re-versible, arising from three main factors. These factors are the potential differ-ence between the photocell and the grounded frame of the module, humidity, temperature, defects and leakiness of the laminating layer of the module. Degra-dation is inherent in all polycrystalline, single-crystal and thin-film modules.
