Концептуальное и эмпирическое измерение демократии

Abstract

The article deals with the problems of the conceptual dimension of democracy. Any theory of democracy is a theory about a system of public selfgovernment based on human rights. The key qualities of democracy are manifested as a result of dynamic interaction and parallel development of society in two main areas like human rights and human development. It is believed that any democracy can be viewed and analysed through five basic dimensions: freedom, equality, control, stability and self-organisation. These dimensions constitute a five-dimensional matrix for the empirical dimensions of the social organism of any given country.
