Abstract

The increasing use of digital audio technologies and large-scale audio repositories creates new challenges for information analysis and security. In particular, the study of methods for detecting hidden information in audio signals requires students to develop advanced analytical and critical thinking skills. The purpose of this research is to examine the role of the educational process in fostering analytical and critical thinking during the study of audio signal analysis and hidden information detection methods. The research highlights the importance of active learning approaches, including problem-based tasks, experimental analysis of real audio signals, and comparative evaluation of signal processing algorithms. These methods promote the development of students’ ability to interpret complex data, evaluate the reliability of analytical results, and formulate well-grounded scientific conclusions. The findings indicate that integrating research-oriented learning activities into technical education contributes to the development of professional competencies required for modern specialists in digital signal processing and information analysis.
