Abstract

According to the World Health Organization, as of 2023 at least 2.2 billion people worldwide have vision impairments. In the digital era, the Internet plays a crucial role in providing access to information, education, and services, making web accessibility an important issue. However, many web resources remain difficult to use for people with visual impairments despite the use of assistive technologies such as screen readers and Braille displays. International standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) aim to improve web accessibility. This work focuses on the development of an intelligent question-answering system that retrieves information from web pages based on a user’s voice query and provides responses in spoken form.
