Анотація
The article deals with the problems of modern understanding of the functions and significance of science in the modern information society. The information society has transformed many ideas of mankind about long-known and understandable things and concepts. In particular, the development of information technology has significantly influenced the state of modern science. The opinion arose that science in the modern information society is a completely new social phenomenon, which only in some aspects retains the features of classical science.
