    A comparative analysis of fourth and fifth generation mobile communication networks has been carried out. The theoretical and practical features of the choice of the preferred mobile communication technology are considered taking into account a set of quality indicators based on the hierarchy analysis method.

    Mathematical models of selection of optimal design variants of systems taking into account a set of quality indicators on the basis of multicriteria approach are given. Application of methods of finding Pareto-optimal design solutions and narrowing of the Pareto subset to the only preferred option in solving problems of nominal planning of mobile communication systems of different generations, planning of mobile transport network and choice optimal speech codecs for IP telephony networks are considered. Also use the theory of Analytic Hierarchy Process for solving problems to choose an optimal variant.

    Selection of the Best Biometric Systems Taking into Account the Characteristics

    An analysis of very well-known biometric systems is made. The choice of the best biometric system according to the set of characteristics known by some methods of multicriteria optimization and the method of analysis of hierarchies is carried out. The findings show that the best type of biometric system is a technology based on the analysis of the iris.
