    The article provides overview of two Web-applications classifications (generalized and with emphasis on business services). The main advantages of using Web-applications are given. The stages of modern Web-applications development are considered, main tasks that arise during development are formulated and ways of their solution are described. An important step is to build information architecture of Web application. The paper highlights key features of Web -applications.
