Публікація CML – Simulation based software: an effective educational tool for distance learning(2022) Mersni, A.; Buyukdagli, O.; Copra, S.; Khatib, C.Information Technology (IT) education is disrupted by distance learning since it is primarily reliant on hands-on labs and practical experience. In the era of rapid technological change and innovation, the quality of the IT courses offered in higher education is crucial to developing the next generation of IT specialists. In this context, simulation-based software solutions must be adopted immediately to enhance the IT education learning process significantly.Публікація Method of Balanced Shared Explicit Reservation for Multicast Routing in Network(Scholars Academic and Scientific Publisher, 2017) Mersni, A.A given work proposes a method of balanced shared explicit reservation for multicast routing in communication network. A mathematical model for multicast routing supporting shared explicit reservation of link resource was presented, which is introduced by linear expressions that are responsible for ensuring the connectivity of the calculated multicast routes, as well as the absence of loops in them. The analysis of the solutions for the multicast routing tasks and the shared explicit reservation of network resources using the proposed model for different network structures, flow characteristics and the used optimality criteria is conducted. The use of the proposed model ensured the improvement of the obtained results on average by 45-65% compared to the distributed (uncoordinated) solution of multicast routing tasks and reservation of link resources used in modern network protocols. According on the results of the conducted studies it is recommended to implement the complex optimality criterion, the use of which is most effective from the point of view of both balanced use of the network resource and in terms of ensuring the maximum productivity of the network as a whole.Публікація Potential Cyber Threats Related to Gender Disinformation(2024) Horiainova, K.; Yeremenko, O.; Mersni, A.; Kapusta, R.Digital technology has both positive and negative effects. It amplifies opportunities for expression, participation, and information sharing but also multiplies online risks and threats. Gendered disinformation is not a new phenomenon, but it has gained momentum due to new technologies and social media. This study examines the issue of gendered disinformation in digital media, specifically the intentional spread of false information aimed at women to undermine their societal roles. The study recommends improving digital literacy, developing detection technologies, promoting cross-sector collaborations, and supporting victims. It emphasizes the need for a collective approach that respects all gender identities to address this urgent social and technological issue and promote a more equitable digital environment.Публікація Simulation-based evaluation of load balancing implementation in enterprise networks using EIGRP and OSPF routing protocols(Bondarenko M. O., 2023) Mersni, A.; Arroub, I.The study investigates the load-balancing capabilities of the Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) routing protocols in enterprise networks. It adopts a simulation-based approach to examine the implementation of load balancing within these networks. The study explores the protocols' features, metrics, and performance through simulations, focusing on Quality of Service (QoS) factors, including latency throughput, jitter, and packet loss. The results indicate that EIGRP and OSPF demonstrate comparable performance in effectively managing load-balanced networks. However, EIGRP exhibits slight advantages in terms of latency and throughput.
