Abstract: A non-orthogonal modeling of telecommunication network is a separate area within the tensor approach. Alt-hough the scope of the non-orthogonal modeling is limited to the case of constant metrics, in this case the solution of applied problems can be obtained in an analytical form and the dimension of the problem can be reduced. According to the possible non-orthogonal bases, there are four types of non-orthogonal networks. Two of them - the circuit and the nodal networks - have been proposed by G. Kron, and therefore are the most widespread. This article is focused on the features of the modeling techniques by circuit network. A detailed analysis has allowed to develop the G. Kron’s methodology and to propose a new type of non-orthogonal modeling technique - modeling by a network of paths. The network of paths is a generalization of the well-known circuit networks. Shown in the article numerical results indicate validity of the proposed technique. The circuit network and the proposed network of paths allow to solve the problem of calculation of the maximal intensity of traffic that can be delivered within a required value of end-to-end delay.
