Abstract

Over the last few decades optical fibers have been widely used in navigation industries owing to their special performance as the best light guide. A fiber-optic gyroscope is one of the applications of optical fibers dependent mainly on the Sagnac effect . It is an important application to the space navigation. It is offered to use the fiber-optic based on photonic crystals with an internal hollow defect. A material medium does not affect on the use of such fibers propagation of optical radiation. Photonic crystal fibers present special properties and capabilities that lead to an outstanding potential for sensing applications
