The programmable logic controller (Programmable Logic Controller, PLC) is an electronic element of the industrial controller - a device, that helps to automate the engineering process. The programmable logic controllers (PLC) are designed , first of all, as a replacement relay-contact control schemes, which are assembled from the certain components (timers, counters, relays etc). All algorithms PLC are implemented using the programming - this is the main difference between such controller and relay control schemes.
