Considered their scope. The principles of operation and main characteristics of micromechanical, optical, la-ser and vibration gyroscopes are analyzed. As a result, it is determined that the gyroscope is most often used as a sensitive element of pointing devices. Gyros are relevant in modern smartphones, controllers for game consoles and autopilot. The review will be a prerequisite for modeling a new alternative to the gyro housing.ukConference proceedings
